Dental + Orthodontic Assistants
Our Dental Assistants provide valuable support to the dentist and their practice, often acting as liaison between dentist and patient. Your daily activities include setting up instrument trays, preparing materials and assisting with dental procedures. More importantly, you’ll also keep our patients safe, managing sterilization and disinfection of instruments for care and treatment. Depending on the practice, you might conduct some of a hygienist’s tasks when needed. Nearly 100 of our Dental Assistants have been with us for over 10 years and love what they do at Benevis.
Our Orthodontic Assistants deliver quality, compassionate dental and orthodontic care, educate patients and parents in oral hygiene and guide them through our treatment process to postoperative care instruction. You’ll review the patient’s medical history, assess their dental needs and perform duties such as scaling and prophylaxis, x-rays (including facial for orthodontic procedures), and application of sealants and fluoride. You’ll also pour, trim, and polish impression casts and fabricate custom impression trays as well as document patient information, treatments plans, and procedures in patient charts.
As members of our Benevis team, you’ll participate in morning huddles and let your peers know how much you appreciate them. You’ll also get out into your community to participate in local events including school screenings, presentations and any opportunity to promote a positive image of us.
